Seasoned Popcorn

If you haven’t tried TDon’s on popcorn yet, you are in for a real treat! It’s probably the easiest way to sample the flavor, as buttered popcorn salted to taste is an incredible way to discover big flavor!

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup popcorn kernels
• 4 tablespoons butter, melted
• TDon’s Original All Purpose Cajun Seasonings, or, try our Spicy Southern Ranch (1–2 Tablespoons, or seasoned to taste)
• 3-4 tablespoons oil (we use avocado oil)
• Sea salt (or “popcorn salt”) to taste

We use a traditional popping method, the Whirley Pop popcorn popper. Simply pour in the avocado oil and let it coat the bottom of the popper. About 3-4 tablespoons should do.

Then add the popcorn kernels and apply to the medium heat stovetop setting, stirring constantly. When there is about 1-2 seconds between pops, remove from heat and pour into a large bowl.

Start by coating the popped popcorn with the melted butter and apply salt to taste. You may prefer more or less melted butter, and you may apply more or less salt. Apply both to taste. Small amounts work best, adding little by little to your own personal preference.

Once you’re happy with the butter and salt level, apply TDon’s over the top of the popcorn bowl. Shake and toss the popcorn in the bowl to allow the butter, salt and seasoning to distribute. Add little by little until you’ve reached the desired level of butter, salt and seasoning ratio.

We like our popcorn spicy, but a lot of seasoning will be hot! So add little by little until you get it the way you prefer. Enjoy with friends, family, movies and your favorite beverage!

QUICK TIP: You can also apply TDon’s to microwave popcorn, but you’ll need a mixing bowl. Just follow the bag’s instructions and then add to a mixing bowl and toss in TDon’s to taste. We prefer the traditional popcorn popping method.

PRO TIP: Add grated parmesan or white cheddar cheese to the mixing bowl for an even more intense popcorn experience!

UPDATE: Substitute or try TDon’s Spicy Southern Ranch on popcorn too! Simply amazing.
