Grilled or Sautéed Vegetables

One of the easiest ways to enjoy vegetables, as a side dish or appetizer, is either grilled or sautéed. And while there are plenty of recipes out there, we’d be foolish not to suggest a lively and healthy approach that will compliment any entrée.

Truthfully, you can use any vegetables you like. Simply wash and slice and then lightly coat in avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil. We then add a light dusting of TDon’s original, all purpose blend OR spicy southern ranch and sea salt to taste.

For the grill, we use medium high direct heat for 10-15 minutes total, turning once.

To sauté, we keep the veggies moving until they’ve rendered to the appropriate temp or desired level of crispness. If you’d like to add a little more savory flavor, or to bring out the best in sautéed green beans, tomatoes, or asparagus, we add a little ghee along with the avocado oil to the pan, stirring it all together for about 6-8 minutes on medium heat.

At the last second we might sprinkle a little more sea salt and TDon’s. It’s all feel really. We don’t like our vegetables overdone, preferring them crisp and fresh instead, and basically just hot enough to plate and eat immediately.
