Cajun Snack Mix

Ingredients

• 5 TBS salted butter
• 2 TSP Worcestershire sauce
• 1 TSP salt (or salt to taste)
• 1 CUP Rice Chex
• 1 CUP Corn Chex
• 1 CUP Pretzels (small twists or sticks)
• 1 CUP Original Cheezits
• 1 – 2 TBS TDon’s Original All Purpose blend OR Spicy Southern Ranch blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°

  2. Combine rice and corn Chex, pretzels, and Cheezits in a large bowl

  3. Melt butter, salt, and Worcestershire sauce together in a sauce pan, or iron skillet

  4. Pour melted butter mixture into snack mixture and thoroughly blend until all moisture is absorbed

  5. Place combined mixture onto parchment lined baking sheet and bake 15 minutes

  6. After 15 minutes apply 1 to 2 TBS TDon’s and mix thoroughly together (2 TBS is HOT!)

  7. After applying TDon’s bake an additional 15 minutes

Noteworthy

You can adjust the amount of saltiness by using unsalted butter, cutting down the amount of added salt to the recipe, or by using low salt or unsalted pretzel sticks or twists. We like the amount we’ve used but please adjust to taste. You can also adjust the amount of spiciness by adding more or less TDon’s. The more TDon’s you apply, the spicier it will be! We also tried a version without Cheezits and it tasted great, but we prefer that extra layer of cheesy flavor.
